Screen Goes Blank Changing Cable Box Channel

 My Screen goes blank/ video disappears when I change the channel of my Service Providers Cable Box

 This is a common issue with the STB Cable boxes from your Cable Providers such as Xfinity Comcast, Spectrum, Shaw, DirecTV, Dish and many more.

 

 An Easy Solution is to set your Cable Providers Output Resolution to Fixed 1080P, 1080I, or 720P only Depending on what you have available. Please ensure only one is selected and Auto is turned off. Please Refer to your Service Providers Manual for setting a fixed resolution.

 

For the Minimod 2 or Mircomod 3 you can also Force your HDMI source to be fixed. Please refer to the User manual on setting Fixed EDID resolution.
